About the Game

Gobble runs on a mechanism most players understand within the first ten seconds: eat smaller things, avoid larger things, grow. What takes longer to grasp is the shift in how the arena feels once you cross a certain size threshold. The game that was about caution becomes a game about finding the smaller targets fast enough.

How It Plays

You control a character moving through an arena populated by others at various sizes. Smaller ones are food; anything your size or above is a threat. Navigation is the primary skill. You are always reading the relative sizes around you and plotting a path that threads between danger and opportunity. Growth is gradual enough that you notice the change in your own speed and collision profile.

What to Expect

The early game is tense because you are small and vulnerable from several directions. As you grow, the nature of the tension changes: the threats become fewer but larger, and the prey becomes easier to catch but requires covering more ground. Sessions run five to fifteen minutes depending on how careful you play. Most losses happen during the early growth phase when the arena is most crowded.

Who It Is For

Gobble fits players who like gradual progression within a single session and a clear sense of cause and effect. The mechanic is legible enough to be relaxing when things go right. Players who expect the gameplay to evolve with new elements over time will find the single-mechanic approach limiting, since Gobble stays consistent from start to finish.
